Black | Queer | Archive | Life

Free - $22.46 (includes all fees)

Founded in 1999, the In the Life Archive (ITLA) at the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture was created to aid in the preservation of items created by and about LGBTQ people of African descent. This workshop focuses on the development of the ITLA through the global Black LGBTQ community, which helped to build and sustain it. Join ITLA founder Steven G. Fullwood in a discussion centering the ITLA as a community archival project, Black queer ancestry, and why memory work matters.
