Join the Mayday Space crew for a Virtual Open Mic Night to celebrate our resistance thru art during these weird and trying times.

The night will begin with a guided meditation using original soundscape tunes from organizer and creator, X. Jen C. will lead an optional expressive art activity that will allow participants to engage with the performances throughout the night. Eliana will emcee the many talented and kind artists who have agreed to perform during this open mic.

**Suggested materials if you choose to engage in art activity: paper (any type depending on what type of piece you want to work with, plain computer paper will do!), markers, crayons, colored pencils, watercolors (will need water and brush if so) or clay (sculpy)

ABOUT MAYDAY:
Mayday Space is a collectively-managed organizing and social hub for grassroots groups, neighborhood residents, artists and activists from across NYC (and beyond!) to hold classes, training, meetings, film screenings, retreats, conferences, art builds, and all-ages events on an affordable sliding scale. While our space is closed for events due to the COVID-19 crisis, we’re offering on-line programming, running a Bushwick food distribution hub, and supporting mutual aid coordination citywide.

This event is FREE but donations are most welcome so Mayday Space can survive through this crisis as a resource for all movements for justice.
