CLOWN CLUB Featuring: ALL FOOLS!

Brooklyn, New York
$2.40 - $54.12 (includes all fees)

Welcome to Clown Club! We are so happy you could make it!

Clown Club is a monthly gathering of silly people, circus freaks, clowns of all kinds, and a variety of performers interested in upping their game in comedy, movement, storytelling, and shenanigans of all sorts. Experts, experienced, amateurs, and first timers are all welcomed and celebrated!

Our CLOWN EXPERT EXTRAORDINAIRES come from all walks of life, be it festivals, nightlife, film and TV, street performing, internet personality, stand up, theatre, and more. Please welcome ALL FOOLS to the stage this June, led by none other than the incomparable silly clown king himself, SETH HOBBES!

Seth “Hobbes'' Origitano is a clown, actor, writer, teacher, director, and producer. Based in Los Angeles he continues to pursue the life of a creative professional. He is the creative director of the All Fools multimedia production team.

He has performed as interactive characters for production houses, such as NovaHan Productions, Bubble Gutter , Madison house Productions, Frick-Frack Black Jack, and the Poetry Brothel. Before leaving Chicago he wrote and directed 5 Original plays. Seth’s physicality has also led him to motion capture acting for video games like Saints Row 5, and Damaged core on the Oculus Rift.

“I personally gain so much joy from teaching clown and movement. Clowning itself is centuries old. It’s the discipline of being silly, tactically daft, and soul shatteringly honest. I have had the honor of teaching at Theaters like Planet Ant Theater, MSU’s theater department and IO theater Chicago. We are going to put on human clothes and learn how to be as silly as imaginable in the smartest way possible. It's time to become professionally daft.”

SAFETY
This will be an outdoor, socially distant event. There is more than enough space to spread far apart. Hand washing and hand sanitizer will be available for all.

Please wear your face mask when closely talking to others, entering the museum, or using the restroom.

WHAT IS THE CITY RELIQUARY?
Reliquaries typically house the ostensible bones of dead saints. We house the bones of New York City. From seltzer bottles to schist cores, to roller skates from racially integrated rinks, to a burnt out lightbulb from the Statue of Liberty's torch. With these artifacts as the backdrop, we aim to support artists and our Brooklyn community with a plethora of creative and cultural programming.

WHY MEMBERSHIP?
In exchange for your ongoing support as a member, you'll receive free admission to the museum as often as you care to visit, free tickets to all events, free beverages when possible, and—we hope— a tiny New York City historical institution to call your own.

Sustaining monthly memberships help us predict our finances, and survive through and beyond this pandemic. We are entirely volunteer-run and currently have no paid staff. Our community means the world to us, and we would love for you to be a part of it.

If you are not yet a member and buy a ticket, you will be asked after payment if you would like to contribute your ticket price toward membership. What a deal!

ACCESSIBILITY
The main entrance and indoor museum are entirely flat, but there are 4 steps up and 4 steps down to the backyard. The backyard is uneven with some platforms, but a paved area near the entrance is available with a view of the stage.

If you are unable to afford the ticket price and need a discount, please email us and we will try to accommodate you, no questions asked.

Email charlotte.chauvin.97@gmail.comwith any questions or needs, and we'll be happy to figure out if and how we can accommodate.
