What effects do these cultural organizations bring to neighborhoods on a smaller scale? How do they influence the outside and inside views of the creative output of a city? Where does conversation break down between these organizations and the ones responsible for enacting policy on their behalf?

City Collective Amsterdam (CCA) is an open collective made up of a new generation of makers that is made up of diverse cultural backgrounds and carries a strong artistic reputation.

It’s members have come together through their collective love for their city. They are flexible when it comes to developing new connections and are uncompromising in their ideals when confronting the status quo. Without outside help and with a no-nonsense attitude, they give the city its unique character. As role models they influence the identity of Amsterdam now and into the future.
