Arts for Art’s annual fundraiser and celebration of our visionary community, the Family Gathering, will take place at The Clemente on November 17th. The Artists & Friends Fundraiser was initiated in 2014 by AFA Artist, Cooper-Moore, in an impassioned plea to fellow artists to support AFA and amplify the need for audience & friends to extend their support as well. This year’s Family Gathering will include a bake off, a bake sale performance by our Music is Mine youth program, captivating performance art, William Parker’s 20-piece band: Huey’s Pocket Watch & Spirit Voices, delectable food, and a joyful reverie.
This celebration is an affirmation of life and creativity, positive action, empowerment diversity, and common humanity, all too often missing in our world today. When you contribute to Arts for Art, you are ensuring a vital future for this amazing art and community. Contributions go to support artist fees and production costs at our year round events, including our upcoming Out Music Festival (Jan 29 to Feb 4, 2024) and the Vision Festival (Jun 15 to 23, 2024). Let’s come together to create a world that we want to live in.
