In this introductory workshop we’ll discuss the basics of mindfulness meditation and how it relates to cultivating nonviolent communication skills. We will cover what meditation is, it’s benefits, and how integrating a daily practice can strengthen core principles of nonviolent communication. Following the discussion we will be led in a guided meditation practice. I’ll offer the basics of starting a personal meditation practice on your own, common barriers and how to move through them, while touching on fundamentals of nonviolent communication. We will wrap up with a group discussion.
