Annette DiMeo Carlozzi has built an expansive practice as a curator of modern & contemporary art with a keen eye for emerging talent and a steadfast commitment to looking beyond labels. She has held curatorial leadership positions at Laguna Gloria Art Museum (root org of The Contemporary Austin) and UT’s Blanton Museum of Art, and has served as executive director of the Aspen Art Museum and the Contemporary Arts Center, New Orleans, as well as visual arts producer for the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. Named to the Austin Arts Hall of Fame in 2013, Carlozzi now creates the occasional special project and offers support to artists and creative enterprises throughout our region.
Emily Lee is an artist, art writer and organizer from the Texas Gulf Coast. Emily has been a resident at Land Arts of the American West and Sweet Pass Sculpture School. Their writing has been published in print and online by French & Michigan, Southwest Contemporary, and Glasstire. She is the recipient of the Roy G. Crane Award for Artistic Excellence, the Rhodes Endowed Presidential Scholarship in Art, an OxBow School Committee Scholarship, and a Penland work study scholarship. Lee is the founder of All the Sudden, which was awarded a Critic’s Pick Award from the Austin Chronicle, as well as a Microgrant from Future Front Texas.
Lauren Moya Ford is an artist and writer based in Betanzos, Spain. Originally from Austin, Texas, she received Bachelor’s degrees in both Studio Art and Spanish from the University of Texas at Austin and completed her Master’s degree in Painting at the University of Houston. Through her work as an art writer, Ford has published more than 250 exhibition and book reviews, essays, and interviews in print and online sources like Apollo, Art Papers, Flash Art, Frieze, Glasstire, Hyperallergic, Mousse, among others.
