Have you ever wanted to learn how to host and run games like Dungeons & Dragons, Shadowrun, or Call of Cthulhu? It can be intimidating, but when we strip away all of the rules and dice and maps, what we're left with is a desire to tell compelling collaborative stories with a group of friends. In this workshop, Hyacinth Ramsay will guide you through what you need to know in order to start being a game master, with a focus on the skills that will easily transfer between rule systems and games (such as how to prep a session, improvisational thinking, & how to pace collaborative sessions). After the workshop, participants will have the skills and knowledge to run their own games.
Hyacinth Ramsay is a game designer & storyteller who has been GMing tabletop games for more than a decade. They love spooky things and fiction-first role playing games. If you're in a game they're running, there's a fairly high chance your character will be eaten by a house.
