POSTPONED: "The Red Deal" by The Red Nation

Brooklyn, New York
$2.40 - $11.90 (includes all fees)

This month's Mayday themed programming highlights anti-colonial struggle so we chose "The Red Deal" for the Book Club selection! Not only does it introduce us to this movement, it provides solutions to issues facing humanity regarding climate change that all political organizers should hear and reckon with. As a supplement, the organizers recommend reading a long form academic essay, "Decolonization is not a Metaphor" to provide historical context and definition.

We are planning to meet in person at Mayday Space, snacks and drinks will be provided but feel free to bring something as well! RSVP to receive digital files of the texts.

The Red Nation (www.therednation.org) is a coalition of Native and non-Native activists, educators, students, and community organizers advocating Native liberation that formed to address the marginalization and invisibility of Native struggles within mainstream social justice organizing.
