Recently the days have blended and bled into each other. The confusion, exhaustion and grief of life has felt like a loop of dawn and dusk as filtered through the blinds.

But anticipation is on the rise. A new day is coming, unlike those other days.

There is a package for you in the mail. It's from someone you don't know, and they have a special message for you, with special instructions. It revolves around a toy that you can look through to see not just a new vision, but two new visions every day for seven days.

You mustn't be passive, though. The visions will ask something of you. The request will be safe and kind, and will stimulate you in ways you weren't expecting. But after seven days, you must pass this package on to the next person. And it will be their turn to anticipate the next day.

Twelve artists have each created a different mail-art package based around the classic Viewmaster toy. By purchasing a ticket you agree to reliably accept mail at your chosen address, within the continental US only, to be delivered in the Spring of 2021. Upon receipt of the package, you will follow the written instructions and engage in a personal journey that the artist has designed for you. This journey is COVID-safe, and often does not require you to leave your home.

Each day you are to cycle through two images and engage with the associated prompts. Some of these prompts will ask you to write something down, take a photo, or meditate on an issue at hand. With a total of 14 images, your engagement should last seven days, at which point you are to send the package on to the next participant. Shipping labels and instructions are included.

******FAQ's******

Do I have to spend any money on shipping?
No, all shipping costs have been factored in. All you have to do is put the next label on the box and drop it off at the post office.

Can I pick which artist's project I receive?
No, all projects will be randomly assigned.

How many people engage with each project?
With 12 projects being sent to 5 people each, there are a total of 60 people receiving the entirety of the Anticipate-A-Day project.

Can I share the Viewmaster with others while it's with me?
Of course! We only ask that you respect the aforementioned timeline of 7 days. If you miss a day due to unforeseen circumstances or poor planning, please do your best to catch up.

Can I buy more than one ticket?
One ticket per person, please. We would like this project to engage with as many as possible. If we are approaching the closing date of the ticket portal and there are tickets still remaining, we will announce the allowance of a second ticket per person.

What happens if I suddenly find that I can no longer receive mail at the address I submitted?
Let us know ASAP at shadowtrafficproductions@gmail.com and we will attend to the matter.

What happens to the project after it's been delivered to its five participants?
The project will be delivered to the artist, at which point they are free to share it with friends, family and strangers. Some artists will then choose to donate their project to Shadow Traffic for fundraising purposes.

Can I make an Anticipate-A-Day project?
Of course you can! All Shadow Traffic concepts and projects are open source.
