**PLEASE NOTE THE TIME CHANGE**
We are trying to beat our biggest grievance -- the rain -- and will be starting the event at 12p on Sunday!
Welcome back to our solstice catharsis parade!
As the sun sets over the ocean, and the cold and dark feel like they’re here to stay, we invite you to help bring back the light. And also to complain. If you need to. It’ll probably help.
Oh and there’s a brass band? Parade through the streets, twirl yourself into a frenzy, celebrate the beginnings and endings and all the things in between. Grumble into a cassette recorder. Dance like the night is eternal and the sun a welcome friend. Accept a gift or two that we have made for you. While supplies last!
Prepare your rants about things trivial and serious, scribble it or shout it, let it all burn and drift out to sea. Wash your hands of the weight of all that; shake off the pricks and injustices that were festering in your brain.
Maybe some of the grievances you wanna shed are about you? Make a shadow puppet for your shadow self and burn the effigy of the things you wish to release. Bring a mask that displays who you are in the moment--or what it is about you that you wish to burn.
But really, just bring yourself. As you are. Maybe with a spidey sense of who you wish to be, as one year melts away and the other is fresh around the corner.
In the meantime–wanna vent? We love to hear it! Give us a ring, get it off your chest! Leave a voicemail, get into the gritty details, lay it on us. 516-831-0289
The night is long, but we can name the terrors. And together, set them aflame.
