That Slapstick Show is proud to return to The City Reliquary for the first time in four years! This time, we're celebrating with a special outdoor screening of classic The Three Stooges comedies, shown on the Reliquary's glorious backyard silver screen. We'll have five favorite shorts from the original Stooges series, plus we'll open up the program with a surprise Looney Tunes cartoon!

Join film curator Nelson Hughes and co-host Tommy José Stathes for a barrel of laughs, with a bonus added attraction of live ragtime music by Charlie Judkins. So, armor up and get ready for lots of eye poking, rib jabbing, nose clamping, head clunking, and all sorts of other slapstick mayhem (and surprises!) that we'll have in store for you and yours.

WHAT IS THE CITY RELIQUARY?
Reliquaries typically house the ostensible bones of dead saints. We house the bones of New York City. From seltzer bottles to schist cores, to roller skates from racially integrated rinks, to a burnt out lightbulb from the Statue of Liberty's torch. These artifacts as the backdrop, we aim to support artists and our Brooklyn community with a plethora of creative and cultural programming.

WHY MEMBERSHIP?
In exchange for your ongoing support as a member, you'll receive free admission to the museum as often as you care to visit, free tickets to all events, free beverages when possible, and—we hope— a tiny New York City historical institution to call your own.

Sustaining monthly memberships help us survive through and beyond this pandemic. We are entirely volunteer-run and currently have no paid staff. Our community means the world to us, and we would love for you to be a part of it.

If you are not yet a member and buy a ticket, you will be asked after payment if you would like to contribute your ticket price toward membership. What a deal!

ACCESSIBILITY
This is an outdoor show. Weather may be particularly hot or wet. The City Reliquary backyard is three steep steps up and down again. We unfortunately cannot install a ramp due to the architecture. Chairs are available, but not guaranteed for larger shows. The bathroom is inside and notably small.
