A little about us:
Franklin Chthonics is an active meditation on appropriately managing and mindfully neglecting a large section of rural land on the edge of the western Catskills. Our community land project sits on 200+ acres of well tended fields and groves and is a 3 hour drive from New York City.
The meadows, groves, streams and structures of Franklin Chthonics are a welcome location for your theme camp, sculpture, cocktail party or rambunctious shenanigan.
Our two ponds have delightful features such as floating docks, a boardwalk and a zipline. Our 19th century barn is the perfect location for a rainy night dance party.
The features of this land are plotted fairly close together, most sites are just a pleasant stroll away from each other. Our marked trails lead to satisfying treks around the land, foraging opportunities and hidden treasures.
While the land is hilly, there is plenty of moderately flat ground to set up your campsite and community offering.
