In celebration of the just-landed reissue of Steve Cannon’s Groove, Bang and Jive Around (1969), join Blank Forms and the Frances Kite Club for an evening of readings and performances celebrating this notorious novel, described by writer Darius James as an “underground classic of such legendary statute that New York’s black cognoscenti have transmogrified the work into urban myth." This free launch party will feature readings from an intergenerational cohort of friends and admirers of Cannon, and a musical interlude by William Parker.
