Join us on October 18th at Coaxial Arts for a night of alternative music, featuring hip-hop & R&B.

The Adoni: Hailing from New Orleans, Louisiana, The Adoni has taken the alternative hip-hop landscape by storm with his blend of raw emotional hip-hop over dance beats ranging from classic Detroit and Chicago 4 on the floor genres to Afro-centric styles. Fresh off his debut album “Too Many Vices”, The Adoni has dropped a slew of collaboration EPs, including “Don’t Let Your Eyes Limit You” with DC multi-talent Samwyse and most recently “In The Business” with LA rapper Nick Coleman.

Enjonu: Emerging as one of the most interesting figures in the Los Angeles underground, the cities own Enjonu is a sharp rapper able to take on all levels of experimentation. Her 2023 project “ILLGIVEYOUSOMETHING2CRYABOUT” remains a monument of a project exploring honest conversations over head-bopping explosions of sound.

Hiram Torres: After over a year since his last release, Long Beach CA’s Hiram Torres is fresh off his sample heavy rap EP “Otay Mesa”. With his debut album “The Best Part Of The Painting Is Never The Center” the rapper and producer explored the realms in which genres gravitated around thundering basses of 808 and 5 strings alongside drums that either stank face you or knocked you off your feet. “Otay Mea” explores an honest look at the duality of being a man in the modern world.

Barry Juice: The IE’s rap scene is broad as ever, yet the identity of Barry Juice has yet to be rivaled. The soulful rapper originally from Moreno Valley has delivered a colossal project in “Idiot”. The 2023 album explores many of the young rappers feelings in a cultivating experience of hip-hop, R&B and soul fusion.

Mercutio X: Slickest is the tongue on Mercutio X. One of the best rappers coming from the IE, the explosive flows and vocabulary of Mercutio X paired with his love for a plethora of styles has cultivated of the most impressive discographies in the scene. Just this year he’s dropped 2 singles and 2 projects. Earlier this year Mercutio and fellow IE artist Atom Black dropped “DAYTONA 1” and most recently, “From Samples, To Examples” with Jackson Donavan.

Nevi Outlyr: One of the few rappers in Los Angeles proudly wearing Norwalk, CA on his shoulder, Nevi Outlyr is the answer to alternative hip-hop. The truth-telling and flow devouring rapper has been hard at work on a follow up to his 2022 EP “Broken Lense”. While that project fills a moody void, his newest music is flowing with dance centric production alongside futuristic blends of rap music never heard before.

@nevioutlyr

Mereadele: A fresh taste of sound from New York comes the one and only, Mereadele. A fusion of dance music, jazz, soul, R&B, rock and even an ethos of hip-hop, the now LA based artist has been cultivating her own biome of independent artist alongside developing her own sound. Her newest single “Strawberry Fine” finds the singer songstress grooving over fulfilling chords with her astounding vocals and harmonies.
