Finn Brunton is an assistant professor in media, culture, and communication at New York University's Steinhardt School. He is the author of Spam: A Shadow History of the Internet (MIT, 2013) and Obfuscation: A User’s Guide for Privacy and Protest (MIT, 2015) with Helen Nissenbaum.
Andrew Demirjian is an interdisciplinary artist who creates experimental assemblages of image, sound and text. Typologies, the language of naming and the politics of categorization are often a focus of his projects. Drawing from conceptual art, experimental music and computer science he creates poetry and audiovisual compositions that use constraint systems, chance operations and remixing. The pieces take the form of interactive installations, generative artworks, audiovisual performances and single channel videos.
Aaron Petcoff is a software engineer living in brooklyn and working at the New Yorker. He enjoys seeing live music, writing, sci-fi, history, and poetry.
