EVWC on Second Sundays:
At El Jardin Del Paraiso Community Garden:
Next to 309 East 4th St NY, NY
Between B & C from 2-5pm.
RAIN meet at TWO BoOTS 3rd St & Ave A !
Gatherings are at community gardens for us to share cultural wellness practices in support of ourselves, each other and the earth. We collectively are growing our natural remedies at many gardens.
Special Guest Jocelyn Perez-Blanco, herbalist, bringing mother tinctures to share and medicinal plant seeds. Bring questions about how to cultivate and harvest the plants. She’ll be leading the opening so we will all try to arrive early. If for some reason Boone’s there yet we are all stuck in transit. :0) happens sometimes. It’s free but come on time if u can. People are welcome to come st any time. Even 5... we linger . Help us pack up and maybe eat together again. Ha.
Often we have participants who are acupuncturists, reiki, Feldenkrais, somatic movement, energy healing, life coaching, shamanic healing and medicine walks, movement, body work, traditional craft product making.
9/9 bring a washed out tincture bottle and a bag for plant clippings.
Bring anything to share or gift away. Help in the garden to grow an abundance of what we need or want. What happens during your open space depends on who shows up: often we have special guests. It’s always a whirlwind of spiraling serendipity,
No obligation to pay or give anything. We would love to have you as a supporting member. Our mission is to recreate our local relationships with the plants, ourselves and each other. The practitioners who come don’t gift .... they also receive.
We tour the medicinal plot and pick plants for teas, tinctures and infusions. We might have bags for you but if you want a special container or bag that’s nice. Some peoole will bring vodka and jars to start tinctures.
Often ppl bring amazing foods to share, possibly CSA abundance, a few ppl give a few nice pieces of clothing away and things they no longer want. (Don’t leave unwanteds at the garden). Bring a spork a cup and bowl Incase. We aren’t bringing disposables. Bring a throw to sit on the grass.
