Join Voluminous Arts for T4Tuesdays at our new location ~Mad Tropical, 236 Troutman St. Brooklyn, NY. At this month's T4Tuesdays party we'll be celebrating the 5TH ANNIVERSARY OF VOLUMINOUS ARTS!!!!
Before the party gets revved up, come meet us at open office hours starting at 6 where you can learn about the work our community is doing and get involved. It’s also a great time to co-work and/or organize with fellow trans people. Office hours is followed by skill shares, workshops, and activities at 8 where you can make friends, meet people and get ready to dance to the DJs of the expanding Voluminous Arts community.
For March's edition of T4Tuesdays we will have a Voluminous Arts 5th Anniversary talk by Gavilán Rayna Russom at 8pm. Rayna will talk about her background and work, how they led her to found Voluminous Arts, and share reflections on the first five years of the organization and her vision for its future.
At 9pm we'll be turning the lights down and the sound up for DJ sets from Certified Jesus Freak, .Tailz, and our powerhouse resident Sodomahigomorra. A perfect soundtrack for partying the way only us degenerate transsexuals can.
All night we'll have coloring books and markers available in the middle room for a lower stimulus alternative to the dance floor. It's also a v cute way to meet people if you're shy.
Toolbox Collective will be joining us all night to distribute free harm reduction and safer sex supplies as well as KN95 masks.
Voluminous Arts is a cultural organization with a vision to build a community center for trans people in New York City. A suggested $10 donation helps support Voluminous Arts’ ongoing operations as we build our vision, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
