This month, we are thrilled to hear from Rafael Lozano-Hemmer, a Mexico City-born media artist working at the intersection of architecture and performance art, who creates platforms for public participation using technologies such as robotic lights, computerized surveillance, and telematic networks; and Astria Suparak, an artist and curator based in Oakland, whose cross-disciplinary projects address urgent political issues and are made accessible through a popular culture lens.
