Syko Friend is the ongoing solo project of Los Angeles based musician and writer, Sophie Weil. Releasing solo music under this name since 2012 in Minneapolis. The project has since developed into a roiling, unmistakable electric folk music— thunderstruck, light-swallowing guitar churning under whispered or howled poetry. “The Code” is Syko Friend’s third LP and second release on Post Present Medium

nunn

nunn is the Chicago-based harsh ambient project of Liv Mershon and R. who began collaborating in 2014. They have releases on Damien Records, Trouble in Mind Records, and Death Bed Tapes.

nunn exists between dissociation and meditation, drawing inspiration from masochistic cycles and the divine found in catharsis. nunn harnesses the chaos of feminine anger through embodied & chaotic performances that double as emotional exorcisms. Their sound is made up of a contact mic vocals, frenzied beats, synth drones, and sampled sounds.
