Join us on MAYDAY, International Workers Day, for a screening of films that highlight the topic of women and labor followed by a discussion with the filmmakers, Cynthia Tobar and April Guscott.
Mujeres Atrevidas captures stories of female Latina food app delivery workers, construction workers and domestic cleaners strength and perseverance as they fight for their labor rights and work to reclaim their well-being and agency. Run time 18 minutes.
Nannies of New York is a short documentary that allows for the immigrant women of color who care for the city's youngest, wealthy and white, to share both the inheritances of their profession's namesake, as well as those of their day-to-day experiences. Run time 5-8 minutes.
