Thinking about the series of performances called "Purga" in which the audience is invited to write down what they want to get rid of in their lives and do a collective cleanse in the forms of afro-syncretic rituals, this virtual interactive performance will invite the audience to reflect and participate in conversations around memory, love, and the colonial/capitalist structures that might influence our expectations, actions and vision. A space to honor the original inhabitants of Abya Yala and the forced migration of Black people. A space for reflecting on colonial trauma and how to heal.
Who's it for? BIPOC / LBTQI folks are given priority. Non BIPOC are welcomed but are expected to be active listeners and take a more passive role
