Cellist Judith Hamman, “long recognized as one of Australia’s foremost contemporary-music cellists” (RealTime Arts) returns to New York to perform a duet with bagpiper David Watson, following a series of recordings that they have made.
Judith has studied contemporary classical repertoire with renowned cellists including Charles Curtis and Séverine Ballon, as well as developing a strong practice in improvisation and sonic arts through collaborative projects both in Australia and internationally. She has worked with artists and ensembles including Australian Art Orchestra, Oren Ambarchi, Dennis Cooper, ELISION ensemble, Jürg Frey, Sarah Hennies, Graham Lambkin, Alvin Lucier, Toshimaru Nakamura, The Necks, Áine O’Dwyer, Wadada Leo Smith, Ilan Volkov, Tashi Wada, Manfred Werder, La Monte Young and Marian Zazeela, and John Zorn. Judith is a member of Golden Fur, Hammers Lake, The Argonaut String Quartet, and has duo projects with Rosalind Hall, Anthea Caddy, and Lori Goldston.

Percussionist Sean Meehan has put together a trio with clarinetest John McCowan and whiz Barry Weisblat on modified Casio and homemade electronics.
Wind❏ws explores an inner sound world riding the line between music for meditation and a minimalism informed by just intonation, yet dictated by the acoustics of the instruments themselves. Wind❏ws finds a sound both ancient and cosmic through their use of saxophones, crystal singing bowls, flute, chimes, and synthesizers and reactive light installations.
