Sonic Snacks

Austin, Texas
Free

Saturday September 27th, 2025
12pm-3pm
3600 Lyons Road, Austin, Texas 78702

Hey friends! Join us for a casual, social time to snack it up and celebrate sound art! It’s part potluck and part geek out. We’ll have 10 super short show-and-tells from sound artists and other cool folks about what they're into or how they make their work. All are invited to bring food to share (maybe with some interesting sound qualities?!), a cool audio toy or tool you're excited to show off, or just come soak up the vibes.

Featuring artists from past CATS+ cohorts and artists from the upcoming New Media Art and Sound Summit® at The Museum of Human Achievement.

Church of the Friendly Ghost (COTFG) are hosting their 2025 New Media Art and Sound Summit®, a multi-day summer festival dedicated to diversifying Austin’s musical ecosystem. You can purchase tickets here - https://withfriends.events/event/WLy3doxh/cotfg-new-media-art-sound-summit/

COTFG is a volunteer-run arts organization supporting creative expression and counter-culture community. We present and host occasions for experimental music performers and listeners to engage in safe, ADA compliant, comfortable spaces.

This project is supported in part by the City of Austin Economic Development Department.
