Last Fire Over Heaven before we take off for the hottest and most humid months of the summer. We intend to go out with a bang courtesy of a stellar lineup featuring legendary downtown trombonist Peter Zummo, the science fiction song of lebron lebron and French percussionist Camille Emaille, in a trio with guitarist Alex Cohen and saxophonist Tom Weeks. One of the key players in New York's downtown scene in the 70s and 80s, Peter Zummo is best known for his melodic, groove-based, post-minimalist compositions, and collaborations with the likes of Arthur Russell (in both the concert hall and the clubs) and choreographer Trisha Brown, to name just a few. Tonight he'll be presenting an eccentric song cycle called the $64,000 Litmus Test, with an all-star band whose members can count Arthur Russell, Peter Gordon and the Modern Lovers amongst their previous collaborators ... lebron lebron is the songwriting project of Anthony Lebron, whose previous project with Hektor Fontanez, Twi and the Humble Feather, combined Philip Glass like classical guitar patterns with hocketing vocal chants to ecstatic effect. Lebron and Fontanez (cousins) team up again here, continuing the science fiction themes of Twi while pushing into new, more personal territory ... French drummer Camille Emaille is steadily making it clear that she is a new talent to watch. Playing a customized kit that centers heavily on a bass drum turned upright and prepared with strings and other objects, Emaille is likely to draw comparisons to Chris Corsano and other "kitchen sink" improvisers, but it's clear she's on her own path. She'll be joined by fellow travelers, Alex Cohen (gtr) and Tom Weeks (sax). Please join us!

lebron lebron:
lebron lebron began as a solo project by Anthony Lebron in 2016. After the birth of his son, the impetus for his debut singer/songwriter record, Lebron grew a desire to deepen his musical repertoire, thinking one day it could inspire creativity in his son. After revisiting several classical guitar standards and attempting a few pop covers, a narrative for lebron lebron emerged: scenes from the future, told by an aged cyborg reminiscing of love, humanity and the story of the universe. The music is original, contemporary, and at times references previous recordings of Twi the Humble Feather, a folk/classical guitar duo Lebron created with his cousin Hector Fontanez. Their 2009 debut EP, Music for Spaceships and Forests, culminated with European and domestic tours, as well as a Super Bowl commercial sync. With lebron lebron, Anthony and Hector have once again partnered, collaborating on both creative direction and live performance. The first lebron lebron LP, Super Natural America and the Futuristic Seagulls, is scheduled for release summer 2019.

She used to organize and play in « wild » events, happenings that took place in unusual locations such as closed tunnels, abandoned hospitals, highway bridges, old synagogues (festival Myosotis); events where people go without any knowledge of what will transpire…In 2018 she took part of the creation of the last work from Heiner Goebbels « Everything that happened and would happen » during the Manchester International Festival that will be played at the Park Armory in New York in june 2019.
