What is a personal wiki or a digital garden? It's a personalized digital notebook, a place for you to write, work out ideas, take notes, save recipes, conduct research and more.
In this workshop, composer Gavin Gamboa teaches you how to set up your own personal wiki as a digital garden. Using beginner-friendly free and open source software TiddlyWiki, Gavin will demonstrate examples of digital gardens, how to use one for non-linear research, and the steps to set one up.
"TiddlyWiki is a unique non-linear notebook for capturing, organising and sharing complex information. Use it to keep your to-do list, to plan an essay or novel, or to organise your wedding. Record every thought that crosses your brain, or build a flexible and responsive website."
No prior programming experience is required but some previous HTML experience can be helpful.
