A tender, meat-grinding, embodied interpretation of Mother of God going through it. She is a girl. She is a mother. She has a child; she loses that child. She is a social icon during the holiday season. A casualty of pain and glory and idolatry and consumerism and she is holding on, perhaps too hard. This experience exists in intrusive thoughts and coping mechanisms in an attempt to piece together meaning and reason.
