This month we're joined by New Orleans musical supergroup Dr. Sick & Friends! Starring Dr. Sick, Tiffany Lamson and Russell Welch
Dr. Sick is an internationally traveled musician, known widely for his violin prowess and high octane stage antics. Currently a staple in the New Orleans jazz and burlesque scene, he’s also the musical director and one of the frontmen of the platinum-selling 90’s band The Squirrel Nut Zippers, whose last 3 records he has also co-produced.
Tiffany Lamson is the co-creator of the music group GIVERS- a staple on the national festival circuit- and has performed on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel Live! She's also been featured on albums by Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Jabberwocky, and Grammy-nominated Rediscovering Lomax in the Evangeline Country-Lomax Tribute Compilation.. She recently worked as Music Director and Drummer for Canadian Pop artist PEACHES on her 20 year Anniversary Tour.
Russell is a guitarist with many different bands based in New Orleans including: The Squirrel Nut Zippers, Meschiya Lake and the Little Big Horns, The Hot Club of New Orleans, and The Jumbo Shrimp Jazz Band. In January 2019, Russell and his band performed his original musical score for the jazz ballet, "Silk and Smoke," with New Orleans Marigny Opera House Ballet dancers performing Gretchen Erickson's original choreography. “Silk and Smoke” was selected for performance at the 2019 International Women in Dance Leadership Conference.

WHAT IS THE CITY RELIQUARY?
Reliquaries typically house the ostensible bones of dead saints. We house the bones of New York City. From seltzer bottles to schist cores, to roller skates from racially integrated rinks, to a burnt out lightbulb from the Statue of Liberty's torch. These artifacts as the backdrop, we aim to support artists and our Brooklyn community with a plethora of creative and cultural programming.
WHY MEMBERSHIP?
In exchange for your ongoing support as a member, you'll receive free admission to the museum as often as you care to visit, free tickets to all events, free beverages when possible, and—we hope— a tiny New York City historical institution to call your own.
Sustaining monthly memberships help us predict our finances, and survive through and beyond this pandemic. We are entirely volunteer-run and currently have no paid staff. Our community means the world to us, and we would love for you to be a part of it.
If you are not yet a member and buy a ticket, you will be asked after payment if you would like to contribute your ticket price toward membership. What a deal!
WHAT ELSE?
Please come prepared to tip the performers via cash, Venmo, or Cash App.
Drinks can be purchased from our bar with cash (preferred) or Venmo.
This event is brought to you by The Future Now @jointhefuturenow.
SAFETY
We are capping attendance to provide ample space for social distancing. A limited number of (masked) people will be permitted indoors for restrooms, or to browse the museum collections.
Face masks must be worn at all times. Guests may remove masks outdoors when they are seated or to drink.
Hand sanitizer will be available for all.
ACCESSIBILITY
The main entrance and indoor museum are entirely flat, but there are 4 steps up and 4 steps down to the backyard. The backyard is uneven with some platforms, but a paved area near the entrance is available with a view of the stage.
