More about Leftovers:
Steven Shikhel, PhD is a classically trained scientist on a mission to change the way people interact and think about food. To close out the fall run of Mikel Glass’ installation, the cell is proud to be commissioning him as it’s first ever culinary arts resident. Audiences will get the opportunity to indulge in Chef Shikhel’s food throughout all four floors of the building with each floor offering different courses with varying influences and ingredients.
The first course will be an “Evolution of Beet” spread which includes a beet vinigret pani puri, vegan borscht Soup, and a kimchi borscht xiao long bao. The second course will see a lettuce wrapped julienned salad. The third: a variety of Thanksgiving flavors rolled into a ball, Arancini-style, fried, and served with cranberry or rendang dipping sauce. Wrapping up the evening will be a display of cookies, spiced nuts and fruits for dessert.
Wine will be available for a suggested donation.
