This year marks the Topanga Canyon Love School’s third annual Mother Earth Celebration!! As Living Earth is a series that prioritizes sharing stories of the many ways that we can form relationships with our local environment, we’re honored by the invitation to open this heartfelt multigenerational community gathering to our communities.Rooted in the belief that every day is Earth Day, The Love School invites us all to join their most loving Mother Earth Celebration on Butterfly Mountain, a beautiful 70+ acre eco sanctuary nestled in the mountains of breathtaking Topanga.

Since 1994, The Love School has cultivated a community for early childhood education that begins with deep connection—to ourselves, to one another, and to the Earth. This celebration is an extension of their commitment to nurturing a sense of wonder, reverence, and stewardship both for the children enrolled in classes and the children at heart.

The day will be filled with Elder blessings, crafts, face painting, a spring spiral, family circle dancing, a Maypole, and performances including a very special moment with Carlos Niño & Friends.

This day is for learning among beloved leaders, Indigenous elders, sharing with one another how to deepen our earth stewardship skills. Additionally, a local expert will share invaluable knowledge on fire prevention, offering guidance on how we can better live in right relationship with these lands.
