Did you know that studying abroad will not only allow you to immerse yourself in a new place and culture, but will also lead to increased professional development, job opportunities and scholarships down the line? Getting there is not as hard as you might think!
HI NYC's program, Study Abroad 101, helps students prepare for this opportunity of a lifetime. Our program will allow you to strategically plan your dream study abroad opportunity, learn about how to pay for it in a regardless of your circumstances, and hear from folks from a variety of backgrounds who have studied abroad themselves.
Study Abroad 101 is appropriate both for students who have never considered study abroad but are curious as well as those who are already planning their trip. The evening includes a shared meal with other NYC college students, discussion with peer advisors, and cultural immersion activities in our hostel. If you've never heard of a hostel before, this is a great chance to be introduced to a friendly and cost effective way to travel.
There are two types of tickets for this program, one to stay in the women dorm and one to stay in the man door. We have limited all-gender dorms, please email me immediately to inquire about overnight availability. These tickets included the presentations, panel, dinner, and overnight in hostel.
