Welcome to the Apocalypse. This is not a virtual event.

The Last Chance Dancers have banded together to bring you a celebration of life and music amidst the chaos of today’s world. With a less talk, more rock mentality, they will be playing classic albums live on vinyl records from start to finish while cast members perform to each song. No breaks. No mercy. Just raw emotion and bare flesh.

Brooklyn Brewery beer & generic-brand hand sanitizer are on the house all night!

The Last Chance Dancer’s first show will celebrate Bad Music for Bad People by The Cramps with performances by Queensiñera, Esme D’Avril, Kita St. Cyr, Maggie McMuffin, and Venatrix!

First show is at 730pm and the second is at 9pm. Each show will feature some pre-show goodies and surprises! Show is outdoors so bring your finest faux furs and fingerless gloves to bundle up with.

This is a real burlesque show, with professional burlesque dancers. Anyone is welcome, but please note there will be sexually explicit dancing and possibly sexually explicit language.

SAFETY
Total attendance at one time will be capped. Numbers are subject to change slightly, but currently we have 2 volunteers, 5 performers, and 15 tickets will be sold for each show. Up to 5 at a time will be permitted indoors for restrooms, or to browse the museum. Otherwise everyone will be outdoors.

The show is in our spacious backyard, with plenty of room to distance. Facemasks must be worn when you are not seated outdoors. Similar to outdoor dining in NYC.

Seats will be arranged in socially distanced "pods" based on the number of tickets purchased in each order. If you would like to sit with someone who ordered tickets separately for the same time, please email jacob@cityreliquary.org before the show with the name(s) on tickets you would like to be seated together.

Plenty of hand sanitizer is available for all.

ACCESSIBILITY
The main entrance and indoor museum are entirely flat, but there are 4 steps up and 4 steps down to the backyard. The backyard is uneven but no major steps. Email jacob@cityreliquary.org we're happy to figure out how we can accommodate your needs.

WHAT IS THE CITY RELIQUARY?
Reliquaries typically house the ostensible bones of dead saints. We house the bones of New York City. From seltzer bottles to schist cores, roller skates from racially integrated rinks, and a burnt out lightbulb from the Statue of Liberty's torch. All these and many more artifacts are in our collection.

Since our founding in an apartment window in 2002 The City Reliquary has been collecting, preserving, and sharing pieces of New York City, for New Yorkers. Now more than ever the stories of every New Yorker need to be told.

WHY THIS WHOLE MEMBERSHIP PUSH?
The Reliquary has always squeaked by on the generosity of many, but COVID-19 has put us in a very tough position.

We need a sustaining $3,000/month of revenue by November 22 in order to pay our rent keep the Reliquary open in Brooklyn. Otherwise we will be forced to close and figure out what’s next. Every one of our staff, and all of the performers you'll see in this show, are volunteers.

That's 300 members at $10/month each. Please consider becoming one. We’ll keep hosting strange & wonderful events like this going to make your membership worthwhile. All events are free for members.

Please also be prepared to tip the performers—they are performing free to support the Reliquary.
